**repost from laura....who works with an animal rescue group....
The burn puppy was actually adopted by a rescue group. Over $1000 was raised to help her. She will be going to a good home. Apparently that post was a few days old. Never underestimate the power of compassionate, animal loving people!!**
This dog has burn marks all over her back, she needs someone who can take her and be patient while she heals. Can anyone help out here? If not by fostering or adopting, at least by reposting.
This is a very sweet dog who has had a short, unbelievably crappy life. She is just one year, maybe even younger. She will most certainly be one of the first to be euthanized. How some so called "human" can do something so horrific to another living soul…I don't know. This girl deserves a chance to know what real human kindness is. PLEASE let's not let her die this way. The picture says more than I can ever say with words. This dog approached me wagging her whole body, so excited to see a person in her very lonely isolation room. She is young and petite, seems very puppyish, loving and trusting. The medical notes state that she was sent out to a private vet to treat chemical burns. She rubs her whole back against the side of her kennel wall, trying to scratch what must be the unbearable itching of her wounds healing.
If you can foster this dog please call Lucia at 415-572-9286
